I had many lessons today, but finally I’m in time here.
Recently Pup asked me why the flowers on the flowerbed in front of our house do not freeze in winter, and still blooming after that in spring.
I already explained that to him, and now will tell you.
When snow falls, all the trees and plants are getting kind of signal “sleep!”, all the process slow down in them and they fall asleep. The snow and crust of ice are kind of “blanket” for them. They do not fell cold under it, but conversely, it protects them.
After gathering some strength and having rest, all plants are blooming in the spring, that’s why winter does not harm them, but help them.
Maybe you guys have some questions, which you’d like to have answers on? I already told you about snowflakes, ice, patterns on windows, but if you’d like to know something concrete, feel free to ask! Write your questions in comments and I’ll answer you every Tuesday!
So, who is brave enough to ask?
